Schizoaffective Disorder: Lithium carbonate may be used as part of the treatment regimen for schizoaffective disorder, a mental health condition characterized by features of both schizophrenia and mood disorders (e.g., bipolar disorder or major depressive disorder). It can help stabilize mood symptoms and reduce psychotic symptoms such as hallucinations and delusions.

Cluster Headaches: Some evidence suggests that lithium carbonate may be effective in preventing cluster headaches, a type of severe headache disorder characterized by recurrent episodes of intense pain. Lithium may help regulate neurotransmitter levels and modulate pain perception pathways in the brain. However, further research is needed to establish the efficacy and safety of lithium for cluster headache prevention.
