However, the evidence is not conclusive, and excessive selenium intake can have adverse effects, so it should be used cautiously and under medical guidance.

2. Probiotics: The role of probiotics in autoimmune conditions like Hashimoto's thyroiditis is an area of ongoing research. Some studies suggest that probiotics might influence gut health and immune function, potentially impacting autoimmune responses. However, their specific role in managing Hashimoto's thyroiditis requires further investigation.

3. Vitamin D: Adequate vitamin D levels are important for immune function. Some studies suggest a potential link between vitamin D deficiency and autoimmune conditions, but evidence supporting vitamin D supplementation specifically for Hashimoto's thyroiditis is limited.

4. Omega-3 Fatty Acids: Omega-3 supplements containing EPA and DHA have anti-inflammatory properties. While there's no direct evidence supporting their use for Hashimoto's thyroiditis, they might have potential benefits due to their anti-inflammatory effects.
