Common knowledge amoung some professionals (MD and ND):
Magnesium: Some studies suggest that magnesium supplementation might have a modest effect on blood pressure by helping to relax blood vessels. However, its impact on overall blood pressure levels may vary among individuals.
Potassium: Adequate potassium intake from foods like fruits and vegetables might help lower blood pressure, especially for individuals with low potassium levels. Potassium supplements should be taken under medical supervision, particularly for those with kidney problems or taking certain medications.
Coenzyme Q10 (CoQ10): CoQ10 is an antioxidant that might have a role in supporting heart health. Some studies suggest that CoQ10 supplementation could have a modest effect on blood pressure, but more research is needed to confirm its effectiveness.
Probiotics: While probiotics primarily support gut health, some research suggests that certain probiotic strains might have a modest effect on blood pressure. Lactobacillus acidophilus, Lactobacillus plantarum, and Bifidobacterium lactis are among the strains studied for their potential benefits in managing blood pressure. However, more research is needed to confirm their effectiveness.
